‘Rockville 2040’ Citywide Public Forums Continue in May and June

Next Forum to Discuss the City’s Comprehensive Master Plan is May 10

Rockville, Maryland, May 5 – A series of citywide public forums is giving community members the opportunity to help plan Rockville’s future.

The forums are a key part of “Rockville 2040,” the process to update the city’s Comprehensive Master Plan. The plan seeks to preserve and improve the quality of life in Rockville by guiding development and conservation and by ensuring the provision of high-quality community facilities.

Forums will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesdays, May 10 and 24, and June 14 at VisArts, 155 Gibbs St., in Rockville Town Square. A light dinner will be served. Free parking is available in Town Square garages A, B and C, with validation. To register, email masterplan@rockvillemd.gov.

Through the forums, community members are developing a first draft of goals and objectives for key topics of the master plan, which include land use, transportation, environment, economy, housing and historic preservation.
