‘Rockville Reports’ Has a New Look in Print and Online

Editions Offer Same News Coverage, New Features

Rockville, Md., July 8 – Readers will notice some subtle changes this month to the look and design of “Rockville Reports,” the city’s official publication, which is delivered 10 times a year to all homes within Rockville’s city limits.

These changes include larger photos and more graphics. Boxes accompanying some articles provide event details, offer quick glances at useful information and reference online resources. A redesigned Mayor and Council page offers easy-to-find information about how to connect and engage with city elected officials. A ticker, in red at the bottom of most pages, offers short bursts of information. The newly designed calendar offers a more colorful, visual overview of upcoming city events in a single-page format that readers can “clip ‘n’ keep.”

The redesigned “Rockville Reports” print edition complements a new city news source: An online version of “Rockville Reports” at rockvillereports.com. The online version will include all the news of the print edition, with embedded video content, links to the city’s website and regular updates throughout the month. Online articles can easily be translated into over 70 languages.

The print edition will continue to offer a monthly (or bimonthly, in the case of the May/June and July/August issues) roundup of the most important city news in a brighter, more dynamic format.

Feedback is welcome at pio@rockvillemd.gov.
