Glenview Gallery’s September Exhibition Includes Photos and Abstracts

Free Opening Jazz Concert Also Featured

Rockville, Maryland, Sept. 1 — The Glenview Mansion Art Gallery celebrates its September exhibition opening with art and music at a free reception from 1:30-3:30 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 11.

On display from Sept. 6-30:

  • A site-specific installation by Sanzi Kermes.
  • Abstract works by Color8art.
  • Digital photographs by Douglas Wolters

The opening reception will feature a free concert by the Bruce Swaim Quartet at 2 p.m. in the Glenview Mansion Conservatory. The group is one of Washington, D.C.’s premier jazz quartets. Their talent in performing jazz standards, as well as original compositions written by Jay Cooley and Bruce Swaim, is featured in their excellent live performances and recordings.

Glenview Gallery is located at the mansion in Rockville Civic Center Park, 603 Edmonston Drive, and is open from 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m., Monday, Wednesday and Friday, and from 9 a.m.-9 p.m., Tuesday and Thursday. The gallery is closed on weekends and holidays. No tickets or reservations are required for the opening receptions and concerts or for visiting the gallery during its normal hours.

The exhibitions and concert are free and open to the public.
