Learn How to Mean Business in Rockville

Rockville Business Academy Returns with a Focus on Hispanic Businesses

Rockville, Maryland, Oct. 6 – Rockville business owners, managers and leaders – and those interested in starting a business in the city – are invited to learn how best to interact with the city through the Rockville Business Academy. The Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Montgomery County (HCCMC) is a cosponsor of this fall’s program and Hispanic business owners are especially encouraged to attend.

Registration for the free program is now open. The program will be held from 8-noon on Thursday, Nov. 17 at the Glenview Mansion at Rockville Civic Center Park, 603 Edmonston Drive.

This is the fifth year of the program, which will give businesses the tools to operate effectively and thrive in Rockville, with city staff leading the following sessions:

  • Community Planning and Development Services: Planning for the Future of your Business.
  • Procurement Division: Doing Business with the City.
  • Environmental Management Division: Making your Business Green.
  • Rockville City Police Department: Keeping your Business and Employees Safe.
  • Recreation and Parks: How to Partner and Get Involved with the City.
  • Rockville Economic Development, Inc. (REDI): Growing Your Business from Good to Great.
  • Rockville Chamber of Commerce: Growing by Networking.
  • HCCMC: Reaching New Markets.

The program is offered through the city’s Public Information and Community Engagement Division in partnership with the Rockville Chamber of Commerce, REDI and HCCMC.
