Volunteers Needed at Maryvale and Twinbrook Parks

The Environment Commission will host a cleanup at Maryvale Park, 812 First St., from 10 a.m.-noon. Environment Commission members will be at the gazebo to greet participants.

Gloves and bags will be provided to participants at both cleanups. Bring water and wear sturdy shoes. Student Service Learning hours are available for student volunteers. Rockville’s Adopt-A-Stream program allows groups of volunteers to formally adopt a stream or participate in a one-time cleanup. Public cleanups are scheduled throughout the year, so check the calendar often.
