Rockville Facilities to Close for Martin Luther King Jr. Day on Jan. 16

Recycling and Refuse Collected a Day Later Throughout the Week

Rockville, Maryland, Jan. 10 – City Hall and some city facilities will be closed for Martin Luther King Jr. Day on Monday, Jan. 16.

Recycling and refuse will be collected one day later throughout the week. Find more information at www.rockvillemd.gov/recycling-refuse or call 240-314-8568.

City facilities will operate on the following schedule:

  • City Hall will be closed.
  • Croydon Creek Nature Center is closed Mondays.
  • The F. Scott Fitzgerald Theatre box office will be closed. Tickets are always available at www.rockvillemd.gov/theatre.
  • The Rockville Senior Center, including the fitness room, will be closed.
  • Lincoln Park, Thomas Farm and Twinbrook community centers will be open regular hours.
  • The Rockville Swim and Fitness Center is open. Visit www.rockvillemd.gov/swimcenter for lap and program schedules.
Parking fees at city-owned meters will be suspended.
