 | The City of Rockville Department of Recreation and Parks is accepting applications for jugglers, magicians, clowns, mimes, musicians and street performers for Rockville Town Center. Permit - A person must obtain a permit prior to performing in Rockville Town Center
- A Busker Permit may only be obtained by the person(s) who will be performing
- Permits are valid through the end of the calendar year
- Permits cannot be renewed, however an application for a new permit can be submitted at the start of the new year
- Once a permit is issued, the Busker is authorized to perform in the permitted areas specified
- Busker must have in their possession a valid permit during their performances
| Performances - Performances may include playing an instrument, singing, mime, dance, theatre, and clowning
- Performers may not perform when other events are scheduled in the Town Center. A list of events will be attached to the permit
- Amplification is not permitted
- Interaction with the public is to remain appropriate (offending or embarrassing members of the public is not permitted)
- Any merchandise for sale must be approved prior to permitting
- Performances must comply with start and finish times
- Pedestrian access and access to adjacent businesses must not be blocked
- Neatness of set-up is a priority
- Language and attire must remain appropriate
- No advertising or campaigning is permitted
- No political or religious issues are permitted

Cancellation or Revocation of Permit
A permit may be cancelled or revoked for a period of time or permanently for failure to comply with the Guidelines. |
