Rockville Connect

Rockville was recognized as a Bicycle Friendly Community at the Bronze level by the League of American Bicyclists in 2016. This award shows how far bicycling has come in Rockville as a sustainable, healthy, and equitable mode of transportation and recreation. The City of Rockville is committed to continuing to promote and encourage bicycling for all residents of Rockville through education, infrastructure, and outreach. There are 34.6 miles of shared-use paths, 3.9 miles of bike lanes, and 2.9 miles of roads with sharrows within Rockville, and we strive to create a safe, well-connected network for bicycling in the city.
