Lincoln Park Community Center is the focal place for bringing the community together to participate in recreational opportunities for all ages. The activities are designed to provide opportunities for learning, fitness, family fun, and relaxation.

Lincoln Park Community Center is owned and operated by the City of Rockville Department of Recreation and Parks.

Upcoming Special Events  

  • Extreme Makeover: Home Edition Party - September 28th - We would like to thank everyone who came out to the party, it was a big success. If you missed the show and would still like to watch it, go to www.abc.com, go to "full episodes" and then click on "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition". The Lincoln Park Community Center is very proud to have been able to take part in such a special event.  There is also a link for the center on the "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" webpage under "A Better Community".

Programs

The Club House

 The City of Rockville and the Lincoln Park Community Center have designed an afterschool program for children in grade levels K-8. This drop-in recreational program is designed to give school-aged children the opportunity to have somewhere safe and fun to hang out.

Children will  be able to engage in a daily Sports & Games and/or Arts & Craft activity. Educational computer activities, along with homework time and monthly field trips, also will be included in the program.

Grade Level: K-8
Time: 3:30 - 6 p.m.
Fees: Residents - $75 per six week session  Non-residents - $105 per six week session

  • Winter Session I - November 17th - December 23rd
  • Winter Break Session - December 29th - January 2nd ($15.00)

LPCC Garden Club

  • The Lincoln Park Community Center is proud to announce our newest program, the LPCC Garden Club. This club is geared towards getting our younger members outdoors and to learn about the environment. We kicked off the club over Spring Break, and then it was held Tuesdays and Thursday from 4:30pm - 6:00pm. If you are interested in participating, please call Neal Owens, LPCC Supervisor, at (240) 314-8782.

 

ACHIEVERS
Achievers is an early intervention program for middle school adolescents that prepares them for successful transition into high school and subsequently the world of work by providing:

  • opportunities to earn $$ towards Rec & Park activities and sports
  • career exploration
  • community service activities
  • social skill training

  • job readiness
  • social skill success
  • academic success

Friends, Food, Fun, Expand your horizon....know no limits!!

PARTNERS IN LEARNING
The Lincoln Park Community Center is proud to announce a partnership with the Commonweal Foundation in a program called "Partners in Learning." This program is designed to assist youth with academic assistance in reading and math skills. Please visit their Web site for more information: www.cweal.com/pil.htm .

Currently, Partners in Learning is working at the Lincoln Park Community Center on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. Please call the center at 240-314-8782 for more information.

 

MOBILE MED
Moby, Mobile Med’s new mobile medical clinic is now making regular stops at the Lincoln Park Community Center every Friday. Appointments required - call 301-493-2400.

Services available:

  • Physical Exam
  • Medical Screening
  • Treatment for Acute & Chronic Illnesses (including diabetes, hypertension, and asthma)
  • Flu Shots
  • Referrals to Specialty Care

The mission of Mobile Medical Care, Inc. is to provide primary medical care to the low-income, uninsured, working-poor, and homeless in Montgomery County.
   

Drop-In Schedule

With the purchase of your LPCC fitness or membership card, you are entitled to participate in the drop-in program for the center. (Does not include Kids Club Afterschool Program.)

Drop-in times vary each month depending upon classes, activities, and teentime afterschool programs. A new drop-in schedule will be posted every two months.

  • Gym Basketball

A Fitness Trainer is available for assistance between the hours of 6:30 - 9:30 p.m. Monday - Saturday.

  Computer Room 
  All Ages: Monday - Friday 9 a.m. - 2 p.m.; 6 - 9:30 p.m. 
  Homework Time: Monday - Friday 2 - 7 p.m.
   
 Gym   
  Full Court Basketball 
        Monday - Friday 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.
        Full Court Play except when school is not in session
   
 
Open Gym Basketball        Mondays 8:30 pm - 9:30 pm, Wednesdays 8:30 pm - 9:30 pm.

Center Offerings

Private Rentals
Do you have a special anniversary, birthday, or retirement to celebrate? Lincoln Park Community Center is available for private rental by residents and businesses within the City of Rockville.

Manna Food
Provides a variety of food services at no cost for those in need. Deliveries are made on Friday at 12 noon. Distribution is open to the public.

Workreation
For teens; combines work and recreation. Jobs range from helping with City-sponsored events, to working with recreation staff on administrative and special program needs. You can work toward payment of any City of Rockville sponsored teen activities, cultural arts activities, special events programs, and/or recreation classes.

Community Groups/Meetings
Lincoln Park Civic Association, Lincoln Park Historical Society, Elks Club, American Legion, and others.

Department of Public Safety and Community Services
Provides counseling, outreach, protection, security, and other services.
