Salute Our Rockville Nonprofits

Salute to Rockville Nonprofits October 4

The fourth annual Salute to Rockville Nonprofits will be held 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 4, during the Saturday Farmers Market.  The event is a chance to learn about local nonprofit agencies, check out volunteer opportunities and win a prize worth up to $50. Opportunities abound for everyone, including teens trying to earn student service learning hours.

The event is sponsored by the City of Rockville Community Services Division, in partnership with the Rockville Caregivers Coalition, Rockville Human Services Advisory Commission, Montgomery Alliance and Rockville Chamber of Commerce. The Farmers Market and Salute to Nonprofits will be held at the corner of Route 28 and Monroe Street (in the jury parking lot).

The Division of Community Services provides for the well being of individuals and families through the identification of the human service needs of all residents; monitoring of human service programs funded by the City of Rockville; delivery of prevention and intervention programs and services for youth and families.

Our office is located in Rockville Town Center at 30 Courthouse Square, Suite 100, and we are open from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Our Mission: To assure opportunities for all persons to live in human dignity and to develop their capabilities fully; and to promote and enhance individual self-sufficiency.
