The fourth annual Salute to Rockville Nonprofits will be held 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 4, during the Saturday Farmers Market. The event is a chance to learn about local nonprofit agencies, check out volunteer opportunities and win a prize worth up to $50. Opportunities abound for everyone, including teens trying to earn student service learning hours. The event is sponsored by the City of Rockville Community Services Division, in partnership with the Rockville Caregivers Coalition, Rockville Human Services Advisory Commission, Montgomery Alliance and Rockville Chamber of Commerce. The Farmers Market and Salute to Nonprofits will be held at the corner of Route 28 and Monroe Street (in the jury parking lot). |
