Rockville Economic Development Inc.

The Rockville Economic Development, Inc. (REDI) Board of Directors is comprised of Rockville's business leaders who are appointed by the Mayor and Council to oversee the organization. The By-laws require at least ten but no more than twenty-five members of the Board. REDI was formed as a separate 501(c)(3) by the City of Rockville to proactively support existing industry and attract new businesses to the city.

Purpose

Retain existing businesses, help existing businesses grow, and attract new businesses to the city thereby creating, retaining, and attracting jobs as well as capital investment in the city.

REDI:

  • Provides input to the city on city projects. 
  • Supports the start and growth of small businesses and entrepreneurs. 
  • Assists businesses with site selection. 
  • Connects businesses to governmental and educational resources.
  • Helps fast track development helps access economic incentives provides market data.
  • Provides information about access to capital.
  • Assists with workforce alignment.
  • Helps grow business in key industry areas.
