Teens on the Go
Future Leaders Camp
Future Leaders Camp is open to teens looking to have fun while learning leadership skills. FLC provides fun, interactive workshops, games and activities designed to prepare teens to volunteer and/or working in a camp setting (or their first job). Workshops include communication, teamwork, leadership activities and more. A team-building trip is included in the cost. Participants also have the opportunity to earn up to 30 SSL hours at a City of Rockville program. FLC participants are given priority after returning LIT’s during the LIT placement process. The Future Leaders Camp and LIT program are considered job training, and thus participants are placed where needed, not always where participants request. Payment plans and financial assistance are available.
Skateboard and Swim
Learn to skateboard or improve your skills. Join Rockville's crew as you learn to push, ride, ollie, kick-flip, grind and drop-in. Skate park etiquette and safety is a priority. Skaters must bring a skateboard and helmet, water & snacks. Knee pads, elbow pads, wrist guards and other safety equipment is optional. After a great skateboarding session, cool off for a few hours at the Rockville pool. This camp is weather dependent. Any missed dates will be made up on Friday.
