Learn special insights on the National Philharmonic through zoom or learn chair tap dance. Come for the Halloween season with a Halloween Brew Thru, Carving pumpkins, or Halloween Costume bash!

Summer 2021 "Life in Rockville" Recreation and Parks Activity Guide

Registration opens Thursday, May 6 at 8:30 a.m.

Sunny days and warm weather are here at last, and Rockville is full of fun and safe activities for everyone in your family. Cool off at the Rockville Swim and Fitness Center and sign up for swimming lessons while you’re there. Improve your tennis, pickleball, t-ball, and soccer skills by registering for a class at one of our local parks. Reserve time for a workout at our community centers or find time to see the animals at Croydon Creek Nature Center. Registration opens Thursday, May 6 at 8:30 a.m.

Get creative during our creativity circle or have a craft escape making flamingos, gnomes, and wine bottles. Enhance your cooking skills with kneading connections, pizzas, and Greek cuisine. Join us as a we remember the 90’s with the opened Senior Center Time Capsule, buried in 1995. Need a little sunshine? Join us for a virtual walk viewing beautiful summer scenery. Whether you’re crafty, techy, athletic, or enjoy learning,  we have a class for you!

Summer Camp Guide

Return to fun in 2021 with Rockville summer camps. Campers will have a great time socializing with friends, learning new skills, expressing creativity and playing active games. Whether you are looking for childcare options, half-days in the park or specialty activities such as drama, STEAM, gymnastics, or in-service learning camps for teens, we have programs for everyone. All camps have been modified to keep our staff and campers safe while having fun!

Bring on the sunshine with a virtual walk viewing spring scenery from around the world or enjoy an in-person beginner bird walk with a Croydon Creek nature center staff member at Redgate. Enjoy an evening out with your friends for our outdoor Wine and Cheese event-Cinco de Mayo style or come eat lunch with us outside during our Brown bag lunch series. We have lots of fun programs planned this Spring virtually and in person!
