Rockville is connected to the regional public transportation system through WMATA, which runs the Metrorail and Metrobus lines.

MARC (Maryland Transit Administration)
The Maryland Transit Administration runs three commuter rail lines (MARC) from Martinsburg, West Virginia to the west, Perryville, Maryland to the north, and Washington's Union Station to the south.
Amtrak's Capitol Limited line runs through Rockville between Washington, D.C. and Chicago, IL through Pittsburgh, PA and Cleveland, OH

The King Farm Citizens Assembly operates three circular shuttles around the King Farm Neighborhood. All three stops service the Shady Grove Metro Station and run approximately every 20 minutes throughout the day.
