Youth & Family Programs
The City of Rockville has a variety of affordable, high-quality after school programs for students in grades K-10. Each program has well-trained staff that plans a fun and active program including snack, homework help and more to round out the day.
Programs are canceled when Montgomery County Public School after school activities are canceled due to weather or other emergencies.
Our mentoring programs are available at select community centers and schools, designed to provide one-on-one bonding opportunities between our youth and community members. Our mentors provide support, guidance and act as a positive role model to be a form of encouragement to our youth.
Latino Youth Development Program
The Latino Youth Development Program promotes positive, team-oriented activities and physical exercise for male students in grades 7 through 10. Participants practice and play in a soccer league after school and on weekends. The students also participate in drug/alcohol/tobacco and gang prevention workshops and meet weekly with the program coordinator to discuss their individual academic needs and progress.
Bullying PreventionBullying can take place in a variety of settings, such as at school, work or home.
