Reservations will no longer be needed for the outdoor Fitness Pool, indoor North Pool, or Fitness Room. Users may return to sharing a lap lane with others in these areas without COVID related limitations on the number of swimmers per lane. Facility use being restricted to City of Rockville residents and facility members/program registrants is also lifted effective May 29. The outdoor fitness pool will retain the current “short course” set-up for the Pre-Summer schedule period.
The outdoor Recreation Pool, including the water slide, tot pool, and sprayground will also open for the season on Saturday, May 29. Reservations are not required. Diving boards will be open on weekends in the pre-season.
Lanes in the indoor South Pool and indoor family recreation “ramp” area of the North Pool will remain with a 1 household per lane/area capacity as a temporary accommodation for customers who need to swim in such a manner. Reservations for these spaces continue to be requested via www.rockvillemd.gov/rsfcreservations.
Rockville Senior Center Fitness members can use the fitness room at the Rockville Swim and Fitness Center. Interested members, must first contact the Senior Center prior to reserving their first visit. Call Senior Center staff at 240-314-8800 or email email@example.com..
Following the latest federal, state and county guidance, employees of and visitors to most City of Rockville facilities who have received full COVID-19 vaccinations will no longer be required to wear masks.
Unvaccinated individuals will still be encouraged to wear face coverings to protect themselves.
Regardless of vaccination status, city staff and students will still wear face coverings at the Montrose Discovery Preschool.
