Monday, November 28: The Rockville Senior Center will be opening on time. The fitness room is opening at 7 a.m. and the building is opening at 8:30 a.m.
Rockville’s Senior Center is an active facility dedicated to serving those who are aged 60 and older within and around our community. We offer nutritious meals, educational classes and workshops, arts programs, fitness, counseling services and much more. Our large center features a full cafeteria, computer lab, fitness rooms, library, community garden plots, woodworking studio, and plenty of rooms for hosting your next special event.
Experience all the Senior Center has to offer in one of our classes, programs, or special events.
The Senior Center is warm and toasty this winter with lots of events to warm you up such as our New Year’s Rockin’ around the senior center progressive appetizer event. Participate in some art programs from calligraphy, clay, cooking, soap making, and fluid painting. Take a trip to the Kennedy Center to see Wicked and the National Museum of African American History and Culture. Get your steps in with line dancing, Zumba, or Forever Fit.
Registration begins Tuesday, Nov. 29 for Senior Center members and Thursday, Dec. 1 for general.
The senior center is in “fall” swing this year with lots of in-person and virtual programs. Spend a Saturday with your grandchildren at our Fall Festival, dress in costume for our HalloWine and Cheese event, laugh while playing improv games, celebrate Hispanic month and dance the night away at Rockville Seniors, Inc.’s Oktoberfest. You won’t want to miss these exciting events and more!
Registration begins Tuesday, Aug. 9 for Senior Center members and Thursday, Aug. 11 for general.
