As of April 1, 2019, the city will no longer accept or process MPDU application in the rental program. Applicants must submit the MPDU application at the rental properties.
The City of Rockville’s Moderately Priced Dwelling Unit (MPDU) Program offers affordable rents through its MPDU program. MPDUs are available in a number of properties throughout the city.
Monthly rental rates are reviewed and recalculated every year in June and are based on a formula in the MPDU law. As of July 1, 2020 MPDU rents are as follows:

Housing Choice Vouchers
Housing Choice Vouchers, formerly known as Section 8 rental certificates, can be used towards rental payments for an MPDU apartment. Housing Choice Vouchers must be issued by Rockville Housing Enterprises to be used in the City of Rockville. Voucher issued by the Montgomery County Housing Opportunities or other Housing Agency may be used, but must be converted "Port-in" into Rockville Housing Enterprises.
