The City of Rockville offers affordable rental units through its Moderately Priced Dwelling Unit (MPDU) program. MPDU rentals are available in a number of properties throughout the city. Applicants must submit their MPDU applications through the rental properties.
Monthly rental rates are reviewed and recalculated every year in June and are based on a formula in the MPDU law. As of June 2023, MPDU rental rates are as follows:
1-Bedroom with den
2-Bedroom with den
The minimum household income limit for FY 2024 is 2.5x MPDU rent (adjusted for bedroom count).
Household income maximum limits are based on gross household income per year. Family size includes dependents claimed on submitted federal tax forms.
