Development Review Committee

The Development Review Committee (DRC) is comprised of representatives from city departments with expertise in planning, zoning, forestry, transportation, stormwater management, recreation and park facilities, as well as representatives from other public agencies and utilities (WSSC, PEPCO, Montgomery County, etc.) involved in the review of development proposals within the City of Rockville.

During their weekly Thursday meetings, DRC members review development applications for compliance with applicable codes and regulations, and provide comments to project applicants at the next DRC meeting. The role of the DRC is solely to provide input to project applicants prior to a formal public hearing and to form recommendations for consideration by city decision makers. They do not have direct authority to take action on projects.
