    2. Use this form to report an abandoned vehicle that is located within the corporate limits of the City of Rockville. A vehicle may only be reported as abandoned if it meets at least one of the following criteria.

      • The vehicle is both inoperable and left unattended on public property for more than 48 consecutive hours.
      • The vehicle has remained illegally parked for more than 48 consecutive hours and has been left unattended on or along a public highway or roadway.
      • The vehicle is not displaying a valid registration plate or is displaying an expired registration plate.
      • The vehicle has remained on private property without the consent of the owner or person in control of the property for more than 48 consecutive hours.

      Please include as much information as you can in the form below. Incomplete or inaccurate information will delay processing of the complaint and may compromise our ability to quickly remove the vehicle.

      After we receive your report and confirm the information we will sticker the vehicle advising the owner they have 48 hours to bring their vehicle into compliance or remove the vehicle from the private property. If the owner has not brought their vehicle into compliance, or removed the vehicle, the Police Department will make the arrangements to have the vehicle removed.
