Conservation landscaping rebates are offered to eligible properties within the City of Rockville for the removal of turf grass or non-native invasives and replacement with native plants.
Rebates are in the amount of $2 per square foot for projects that include soil improvement (see Design Guidelines) or $1 per square foot for projects without soil improvement.
Eligible properties can receive up to a lifetime total of $2,500 per property in rebates.

In planning your project, please allow a minimum of two weeks (14 business days) for application processing. It is recommended that you allow for additional time in the event that changes or clarification on the application is needed.

*A project approval letter from the legal property owner, manager or organization must be submitted with the application.
Minimum of 250 square feet.
At least ¾ of the plants in your planting plan must be native plants or cultivars to the Chesapeake Bay watershed. The plan must not include any non-native invasive species. Check to make sure your plants are not non-native invasives with the Mid-Atlantic Invaders Tool.
