  • Pavement Removal Rebate Program Overview & Requirements

    1. Applications are currently being accepted for projects that will be completed in 2021.

      If you wish to submit a rebate application for a project that will be completed in 2022, please check back in October. 

    2. Rebate Overview

      Pavement removal rebates are offered to eligible properties within the City of Rockville for the removal of impermeable surfaces and replacement with native plants or sod. 

      Rebates are in the amount of $4 per square foot for replacement with conservation landscaping (native plants) or $3 per square foot for replacement with sod.

      Eligible properties can receive up to a lifetime total of $2,500 per property in rebates.

    3. Before Applying

      Please review the full Pavement Removal Application Instructions and Design Guidelines before applying. Projects must meet these guidelines to be eligible for a rebate. 

      To complete this application, you will need to have the following documents ready to upload.

      1. A plant list that includes plant species, sizes, and quantities if installing a conservation landscape.
      2. A diagram of the planting area showing plant spacing and density if installing a conservation landscape.
      3. Photos of the project site (up to 4) 
      4. Project approval letter if applying as a homeowners associations, condominium association, or other non-profit.
