project consists of supplying the materials, labor, equipment, tools, and
services to install sewage debris grinders at two locations other associated
work as specified in the contract documents.
scope of work includes but is not limited to the following:
SUBPROJECT I – Fallsgrove
Wastewater Pumping Station: Sewage Debris Grinder Installation
· Installation of a sewage
debris grinder within the existing wet well at the existing Fallsgrove
Wastewater Pumping Station.
· Installation of a sewage
debris grinder within the existing wet well at the existing North Horners Lane
Wastewater Pumping Station. The
contractor shall provide a price for the least expensive of the following three
options for this subproject as further described within the Technical Specifications:
All pay items listed are considered complete in place and the prices
submitted are intended to cover all costs, direct and indirect to complete the
work described, including materials, equipment, labor, supervision, and other
costs necessary to complete the work.
Individual, sixty-minute, City staff-guided site
visits/walk-throughs will be made available for each interested firm during the
week of May 03, 2021, where no more than three members from a firm may attend
their firm’s scheduled site visit/walk-through. Participation in a site
visit/walk-through by a firm is strongly encouraged but NOT mandatory. Requests
to schedule a site visit/walk-through shall be directed to Gabe Kosarek, Principal
Civil Engineer via email only at no later than 10:00 AM, Wednesday,
May 05, 2021. When submitting a request include the following information in the
email subject line:
IFB 18-21 Site Visit/Walk-Through.
The City will be blocking out three, sixty-minute
time slots per day for a total of fifteen visits during the week of May 3rd at 12:00
PM, 1:00 PM and 2:00 PM. Prospective bidders are to request a day and time slot
in the e-mail request.
A virtual, telepresence pre-bid meeting will be held
MAY 11, 2021 AT 10:00 AM. Bidders must register below in order to attend the
meeting. This meeting is not mandatory; however, bidders are strongly
encouraged to attend. Individuals interested in viewing the vicinity of the
work are encouraged to do so independently, and in a socially distanced manner,
prior to the pre-bid meeting. Bidders shall assume complete responsibility and
liability for any and all visits.

cost/classification of this project is within the range of $100,000 to $500,000
(Class B). This range is in accordance
with project classifications established by the State of Maryland DGS.
