Creating Holiday Labels

Tis the season! Let us take you step by step on how to make festive labels to send cards and gifts during the holiday season. Course 24021

English Class-Beginning/High Beginning (L2)

Online classes include reading, speaking, listening and pronunciation for senior whose first language is not English. BEFORE registering, new students must schedule and assessment of their English skills. Please email program coordinator, Amoke Alakoye at aalakoye@rockvillemd.gov to schedule an evaluation. Returning students should register for the class recommended by their teacher. No class on 9/26 or 10/5.

Activating Your Character Strengths

Here is an opportunity to discover your positive personality traits (character strengths) and learn how to put them into action to become more resilient, manage stress better, and have a more fulfilling life. The class will be based on the book "The Power of Character Strengths: Appreciate and Ignite Your Positive Personality," by psychologist, Ryan M. Niemiec and Robert E. McGrath. Meets first and third Tuesday of each month.

Diabetes: Key Steps to Nutrition & Active Living!

Take charge of diabetes! Keep active and eat healthy. In this class, participants will learn to read nutrition labels, portion versus serving size, impact of activity on glucose levels, as well as nutrition. This will be an interactive class with hands-on activities. Taught by a Diabetes Health Educator, Adventist Healthcare. Course 24084
